The Lee Bottom Pouring 10 Pound Melting Pot features infinite heat control and a 500 Watt Heating Element. Heats approximately 10 pounds of lead to melting in 20 to 30 minutes.
Lee Bottom Pouring Melting Pots feature a variable temperature control. The highest setting stabilizes at approximately 900 degrees Fahrenheit. The lowest setting stabilizes at approximately 450 degree Fahrenheit. We recommend melting lead at a medium-high to high setting, then reduce the temperature control to a medium setting to maintain temperature (the melting point of lead is just over 600 degrees Fahrenheit).
Bottom pouring melting pots are not recommended for molds that require wires to protrude from the top, as there may not be enough clearance for the mold to fit under the pot spout. This includes spinnerbait and buzz bait molds. Bottom pour pots are also not recommended for items weighing more that 3oz, as the lead flow rate is generally not fast enough for good pours.
Lee Bottom Pouring Pots SHOULD NOT be used with impure lead, gold, silver, zinc, copper, or other metals. Doing so may damage the pot and void the manufacturer's warranty.
110 volt model for use in the U.S. 220 volt model for international use.
WARNINGS:
This pot is for use with LEAD ONLY.
Use only pure lead as the spout may clog otherwise.
DO NOT USE WHEEL WEIGHTS! Wheel weights are generally not pure lead and can ruin the pot.
Lee Pots will almost always drip lead when hot. This is normal for these pots.
To work properly the pot needs to be full.
