The Epic PreyBait, "hand injection" style mold was designed as part of a collaboration with Marling Baits. The Epic PreyBait is a boot tail swimbait with a rear fin designed to have an intense action with realistic presentation at any speed, with a tight fast tail kick on the fall.
The 1.7 & 2.3" Inch Epic PreyBait are "headless" to seamlessly work with small ball style jig heads from 1/32oz - 1/8oz. The "ball" part of the jig head becomes the head of the bait which makes these extremely realistic.
The 3" bait/mold does not have a hook slot and is intended to be used with small jig heads. There is no indented eye socket, but instead an eye "bump" on this bait that sticks out slightly and is around .18" in diameter.
The 4.1, 5.6", and 7.5" models all have hook slots on top and bottom it is easy to rig this bait perfectly every time.
This mold comes with a "divider plate" and mixing ports to shoot top/bottom laminates on all 10 cavities. For the best top/bottom laminates, preheat the mold to 110-120 degrees Fahrenheit, heat plastisol to 315-325 degrees Fahrenheit, inject slow/steady then hold pressure for 10 seconds. You can also take the plate out of the center to shoot solid color baits.
