Polycarbonate lure lips are preferred by many lure builders because they're exceptionally clear. This near total transparency means the lips disappear in the water, resulting in a more life-like lure presentation. Polycarbonate lips are also durable and easy to use, generally requiring little to no sanding or alteration prior to use.
