4 Cavities
I am ordering another one of these molds so I can make them faster. My current mold shoots great with single or dual injector. I got my first mold last year right after this 4-cavity version came out. I took them out and caught 2 fish in 4 casts. Very realistic looking craw bait. Especially for the price of the mold.
The channels to let air escape are not directly connected to the cavity. The rough surface grind is all that lets the air get through to the channels. By itself this isn't too much of an issue. There isn't a plate available for pouring in two parts so I made one out of a brass sheet. My plate works fine but the little bits of webbing you get from the plastic squeezing into the rough surface will block any aur escaping on the second pour. You end up with the second color not getting into the legs, antenna and tips of the claws. You need to be very particular about cleaning up the edges before making the second pour.
